I deeply respect and value the history of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples in Canada, recognizing the lasting impact of the past on the present and future. As an educator of Indigenous descent, I am passionate about contributing to truth, reconciliation, and healing. I weave these principles into all my lessons, incorporating diverse ways of knowing and being, as well as the rich histories and cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. My goal is to create an educational experience that feels safe and supportive for all, with particular care for those whose families have endured harm in these spaces. By fostering understanding, inclusion, and respect, I strive to honor the journeys of all learners and help build a more equitable and compassionate future.
